Here is our guide to Enter and View; Healthwatch Bristol's powers to access health and care services

Healthwatch have a legal power to visit health and social care services and see them in action.

This power to Enter and View services offers a way for us to meet some of our statutory functions and allows us to identify what is working well with services and where they could be improved.

This policy outlines:

  • The purpose of Enter and View
  • What happens during a visit
  • Our policy on conducting Enter and View visits and how we recruit and train authorised representatives to carry out the visits
  • How we report on our findings and follow up with service providers
