Age UK Bristol launch support hub

Age UK Bristol have launched a support hub to help older people and their families cope with the impact of Coronavirus in Bristol.

Age UK Bristol are offering a range of help via their helpline. 

Practical Support

They offer practical help such as food shopping orders and delivery, prescription collection, home maintenance, provide official guidance on coronavirus using the government and NHS websites, information on avoiding coronavirus-related scams and staying safe, and more. 

Emotional Support

For anyone feeling lonely or isolated they can set up a weekly telephone call for a friendly chat. For those finding the situation is making them anxious they can refer you for a short counseling session and they also offer bereavement support. 

Virtual Activities

They are running a series of virtual activities that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home, such as telephone reading/discussion groups and online Tai-Chi sessions. 

 

Age UK Bristol Support hub is open Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
