Information from Rethink Mental Illness

Bristol Community Services has been working for many years to support adults above 18 who live within the area covered by Bristol City Council.

The service works with anybody who has mental health problem. We offer one to one support to people within the community to identify their strengths and work towards empowering them.

The service uses a person-centred approach. We focus on smart goals at a pace that varies from person-to-person to improve their overall wellbeing.

The team is composed by individual with different skills, including lived experience. We try to find the right match for everyone.

Currently our waiting list is approximately 6 months. We are working hard to reduce the waiting times and we maintain contact through a monthly bulletin with wellbeing resources.

How can we help you?

  • Improve confidence
  • Sense of belonging and feeling part of your community again
  • Gradual access in the community
  • Build social contacts and feel supported
  • Feel more motivated
  • Groups to achieve holistic wellbeing like yoga, community gardening, music therapy, etc.
