How we have been working in Bristol

We took on a new contract to run Bristol and South Gloucestershire alongside North Somerset in October 2019 and are moving forward with plans to gather more feedback from hard-to-reach groups with our area leads Julie Bird and Acomo Oloya who were appointed in January 2020. We have asked how different community groups feel about extended GP opening hours and are working to ensure we gather views from even further afield to tackle health inequalities that have been exposed by Covid-19 particularly affecting the BAME community.

How we will be working in 2020.

We have developed work plans around mental health, social care and helping more people get to grips with digital methods of making appointments and accessing services, which is even more important while face-to-face appointments are suspended due to Covid-19.
