Strong link between childhood trauma and self-harming in teenagers is found in new University of Bristol study
The University of Bristol is for the first time using a large family study to look at links between childhood trauma and self-harming in teenagers.
A total of 4,300 young people from the Bristol’s Children of the 90s study were used to see if adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) eg abuse, domestic violence are linked to self-harming at 16.
